Making a Movie with Alice

Lesson Summary: Teach students, in the computer lab, about programming computers and animating 3-D models.
Lesson Description: This lesson consists of 5-6 class periods where the first 15 minutes are spent learning a new concept about Alice, then spend the rest of the time, working on their movies.

Please note, this is very much under construction but I wanted to get the documents I used up on the web ASAP.

The first lesson is a little different, it is entirely an introduction to Alice.

Lesson 1:
outline of lesson
-make a scene with 2 objects (1 animal, 1 tree)
-make one object move forward, turn
-do together: make the object move forward and turn at the same time
-explain some of the other methods: say, think, sound, resize

Lesson 2: Storyboard
Requirements
Storyboard Worksheet (portrait format)
Storyboard (landscape format)
-what I put on the blackboard
-what is a storyboard?
-the storyboard worksheet
-the outline of the requirements for the finished movie

Lesson 3:
-setting up the scene
-moving characters around
-trouble shooting the camera or missing characters
-pick ground carefully!
-making limbs of individual characters move

Lesson 4:
-the camera
-functions
-(loops)
